This Homemade Pizza Sauce is so fast and easy, I guarantee you’ll never buy store-bought pizza sauce again! For years I used to just buy pre-made pizza sauce because it was convenient. But as I’ve gotten older, I find myself paying more attention to ingredients and making things from scratch whenever possible. I’ve been making my own pizza sauce for a couple years now and it’s been a game changer.
All you need is a can of tomato sauce and spices that you most likely already have on hand! Because I go through ingredients like crazy, I buy my Organic Tomato Sauce in bulk from Costco.
I don’t know about you but I love when all you have to do is mix all the ingredients together. There’s only one step! How easy is that?
Mix all of the spices with the tomato sauce and cook over medium heat for about 8 minutes.
Once combined, the pizza sauce will bring out the most robust flavor, it’s hard not to eat with a spoon! Not to mention the aroma in your kitchen will leave you feeling as though you are in Italy sipping on a glass of red wine while sitting in the cutest little rustic pizza shop. Okay, maybe that’s just me, but who doesn’t want to pretend they’re in Italy?
One of the best things about this sauce is that it’s freezable. I love to keep this pizza sauce in my freezer for easy access! Just separate the sauce into containers and freeze it. Then whenever you’re making pizza, just remove it from the freezer and heat it up! This recipe will give you almost 2 cups of sauce so just freeze whatever’s left and use if for your next pizza!
I hope you’ll be able to make this pizza sauce a staple in your home as it is mine!
